Pete Welsch

E. "Pete" Welsch, 69, of 507 Highland Court, died Friday, December 21, 2007, at the residence of his daughter, Julie Mertes. He was born July 23, 1938, Fond du Lac, the son of Leonard A. and Ruth A. Boese Welsch. Mr. Welsch was a 1956 graduate of Goodrich High School. He served in the US Air Force from 1958 to 1962. He was employed by the City of Fond du Lac for 35 years, retiring in 1996 as Superintendent of the Water Utility. Survivors include his two ex-wives, Judy Tibbitts Sherry and Patricia R. Welsch; four daughters, Lori (Rollie) Polakoski, Lynn (Dan) Ales, both of Fond du Lac, Kim Welsch of Fairfax, CA, and Julie (Companion William Beecher) Mertes of Fond du Lac; four grandsons, and four granddaughters; two brothers, Leonard (Pauline) Welsch of Diamond Bar, CA, and Michael (Debbie) Welsch of Tawas City, MI, two sisters, Patricia (Jordan) Hansen of Fond du Lac, and Sue Huebner (Special Friend Jack Walters) of Eau Claire, a sister-in-law, Ruth Welsch of Fond du Lac, and the most recent addition to his life, his dog, Moski. His father and mother, his brother, Donald, and his stepmother, Virginia Welsch, preceded him in death.



Visitation for Mr. E. "Pete" Welsch will be on Saturday, December 29, 2007, from 9 am to 12 pm at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 12 noon on Saturday at the funeral home. Members of Trier-Puddy American Legion Post #75 Firing Squad will conduct graveside military rites.
