Peter T. “Pistol” Albertz, 51, died Monday, December 9, 2019 at St. Agnes Hospital in Fond du Lac. He was born in Fond du Lac on Sunday, June 30, 1968 to Arnold and Ann (Thornton) Albertz.
Pistol was passionate about everything that he did. He was involved in many political activist groups involving social justice issues such as workers’ rights, police reform, and economic justice for the poor and disadvantaged. Pistol wanted to make the world a better place for all men, women, and children. He cared about the environment deeply and stood strongly against the KXL pipeline. Pistol marched many times with OCCUPY both within and outside of Wisconsin. His strongest wishes were to have a strong and prosperous working class and to strengthen workers unions.
Pistol loved riding his motorcycle and was a member of the Top Hats MC. He was a huge supporter of any ride or fundraiser that involved veterans, fire departments and bikers against child abuse. Pistol’s dedication to help anyone in need was amazing. He always knew when someone was down and would do whatever he could to help them through difficult times. Pistol had worked at Mercury Marine since 2015 and was very proud of his recent promotion to Mercury Racing. Co-workers described him as a caring, kind, and passionate worker who truly cared about Mercury Marine as a company.
Above all, Pistol was very proud of being a grandpa and loved spending time with his grandsons, taking them to EAA in the summers.
Survivors include his parents, Arnold (Carol) Albertz and Ann Thornton (husband Dale); two children, Hannah (Joseph) Tynan and Jake Albertz (special friend Juniper); three grandchildren, Michael, Gabriel, and Samuel Tynan; five siblings, Matthew Albertz, Anthony (Janelle) Albertz, James Albertz, Maggie (Peter) Swentek and Shannon Patterson; step-siblings, Joshua Hamm and Sarah Halstead; godchildren, Gemma Rae and Griffin Krahn; special friend, Christina Campbell; and numerous nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
