Phyllis "Phyl" M. (Jones) Solberg, 58, of Fond du Lac, died Monday, November 25, 2013 at St. Luke's Medical Center, Milwaukee, from heart and lung disease that she bravely battled the last five years. She was born February 20, 1955 in Portage, WI, the daughter of John R. and Joyce L. Witt Jones. She was a graduate of Montello High School Class of 1973. On February 14, 1977 she married the love of her life, Jeffrey L. Solberg. Together they raised six wonderful sons. They were the light of her life and she was very proud of all of them. She was a den leader and worked at Eaton's, Laurer's East, Park N Save, and Pick N Save on Pioneer Road for many years as Department Manager of which she was proud of her accomplishments. She retired from Pick N Save due to her illness. Phyllis was proud, stubborn, and independent. She was a people person. She loved family and traditions, family get togethers and their yearly trip to Eagle River. Phyllis loved reading, word find puzzles, NASCAR, expecially Jeff Gordon, the Packers, and watching her nephew, Andy racing at Beaver Dam.She is survived by her husband, Jeffrey; five sons, John Rozek, Chicago, IL, Jason (special friend, Ashton) Solberg, Oconomowoc, WI, Wesley (Gwen) Solberg, Fond du Lac, WI, Jeff "JJ" (Ashley) Solberg, Fond du Lac, WI, Travis Solberg, Fond du Lac, WI; one very special grandson, Tyler. She is further survived by her brother, Bob (Bev) Jones, Mt. Horeb, WI; three sisters, Betty Schumacher, Fond du Lac, WI, Debby Bombinski, Portage, WI, Tammy (Lamont) Bolstad, Montello, WI; special mother-in-law, Liz Kilishek, Forest Junction, WI; many other special brothers and sisters-in-law, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Joshua; her father-in-law, Dick Kilishek.
The visitation will be held from 9:00 AM "“ 11:30 AM on Saturday, November 30, 2013 at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held at 11:30 AM on Saturday, November 30, 2013 at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home with Rev. Joseph Coerber officiating. Entombment will follow in the Chapel of the Risen Christ Mausoleum, Calvary Cemetery.Uecker-Witt Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
