Ralph G. Martin

Ralph G. Martin, age 81, of 302 17th St, Fond du Lac, died Saturday, April 17, 2010 at St. Francis Home. He was born on November 3, 1928 in Fond du Lac, the son of Otto L. and Helena A. (Achtenberg) Martin. He was a 1946 graduate of Fond du Lac High School. He served in MacArthur's Honor Guard from 1947-48 in Tokyo, Japan. On September 8, 1962 he married Shirley A. Rieman at Division St. Methodist Church. Ralph retired in December of 1985 as a Lieutenant in the Fond du Lac County Sheriffs Department. He was a member of Covenant United Methodist Church, and he enjoyed gardening and traveling, and his German Christmas Village with trains.SURVIVORS: his wife, Shirley of Fond du Lac, brother, Kenneth Martin of Fond du Lac, sister in law, Audrey Martin of Fond du Lac, nephew, Rick Martin of Fond du Lac, nieces, Jeanne Kebble of Fond du Lac, Mary Jo Berenz of Fond du Lac, Patti (John) Stoecker of Grafton, Julia (David) Crouch of Fond du Lac, Lori (Bill) McMahon of Hartford, and dear family friends, Joel and Donna Klanderman, and other friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Robert Martin, and one sister in law, Patricia Martin.



VISITATION: Monday, April 19, 2010 from 5-7 P.M. at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. FUNERAL: Tuesday, April 20, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. at Covenant United Methodist Church, 20 N. Marr St, Fond du Lac with the Reverend Michael Morning officiating. There will be no visitation on Tuesday morning.
