Ralph W. Wilkum

Ralph W. Wilkum, age 87, a resident of All About Life Rehabilitation Center for the past two years, died Friday, July 4, 2008 at St. Agnes Hospital. He was born on July 17, 1920 in Milwaukee the son of William and Caroline (Vogl) Wilkum. Ralph served in the United States Army during World War II. He was in the 5th Infantry and was stationed in Italy. On July 12, 1947 he married LaVerne Schulteis in Beaver Dam. Ralph was a Draftsman in the Engineering Department at Giddings and Lewis until retiring in 1984. He then worked part-time at Hansen Refrigeration Co. from 1984 to 2000.SURIVIVORS: his wife, LaVerne of Fond du Lac, four children, Gregory (Patricia) Wilkum of Fond du Lac, Craig (Bonnie) Wilkum of Kiel, Carrie (Roland) Crook of Fond du Lac, Robert (Lori) Wilkum of Fond du Lac, fifteen grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, William, and two sisters, Margaret and Caroline.



VISITATION: Monday, July 7, 2008 from 10:00 A.M. until 12 noon at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home, 524 N. Park Ave, Fond du Lac. FUNERAL: Monday, July 7, 2008 at 12 noon at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home with Deacon Larry Hughes officiating. Entombment will follow at Chapel of the Risen Christ Mausoleum, Calvary Cemetery.
