Randolph " Randy" D. Norenberg, age 74, formerly of 586 Emma Street, and of 869 Security Drive, died Monday, July 26, 2004 at the Hospice Home of Hope. Randy was born in Fond du Lac on January 9,1930the son of Ernest and Frances Johnson Norenberg. On May 7, 1949 he married Catherine A. Cleveland in Fond du Lac. She preceded him in death on July 22, 2001. Randy was a graduate of New Holstein High School. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force serving from 1949-53.Randy was employed with DuFrane Movers, Rueping Leather and the Soo Line Railroad working there from 1955 to 1987. Randy enjoyed playing baseball, gardening, hunting, fishing, and a lifelong love for farming. Randy was an active member of the Church of Peace-United Church of Christ, Eagles Aerie #270, and the Threshery of Eden.SURVIVORS: four daughters, Mary (Richard) Stefczak of Brownsville, Sharon Yoho of Fond du Lac, Michaele (Todd) Nimmer of Fond du Lac, one son, Richard (Edie) Norenberg of Oshkosh, seventeen grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, three step-greatgrandchildren, one son in law Stephen Pugh of Fond du Lac, three brothers, Eugene of Fond du Lac, Gerald Norenberg of Fond du Lac, Donald (Janet) Norenberg of Fond du Lac, three sisters, Sally (Roger) Curtis of Columbus, Patsy Lefeber of Fond du Lac, Lorraine (Bob) Thill of Fond du Lac, sister in law Jean Norenberg of Fond du Lac. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, two sons, Lawrence and Randy, one daughter, Sandra Pugh, two sisters, Jean LaFrancois and Betty Zwicky, two brothers, Earl and Dale Norenberg, and sistes and brothers in law.
VISITATION: Wednesday, July 28, 2004 from 4-8 P.M. at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. At Randy's request the casket will be closed. FUNERAL: Thursday, July 29, 2004 at 10:00 A.M. at Church of Peace-United Church of Christ with the Reverends Gerald Bertsch and Richard Weikel officiating. Friends may call on Thursday at the church from 9:00 A.M. until the time of services. Burial will follow at Ledgeview Memorial Park. Memorials are appreciated to Hospice Home of Hope, Cancer Research, or Oshkosh Youth Baseball Field Fund.His train has made its final destination.Uecker-Witt Funeral Home is serving the family.
