Raymond H. "Pete" Woeshnick

October 20, 1923 — January 21, 2009

Raymond H. "Pete" Woeshnick, age 85 formerly of 406 South Seymour Street, died Wednesday, January 21, 2009 at Manor Care Health Services where he had been a resident the past five years. He was born on October 20,1923 in Fond du Lac the son of Hugo and Elsie Schroeder Woeshnik. On May 31, 1947 he married Mary A. Martin in Fond du Lac. She preceded him in death on July 7, 1995. Raymond was a veteran of the U.S. Navy serving in World War II. As a young man he worked at a fish market in Fond du Lac, later he was employed with Rueping Leather Company, Omar Bakery, and Mercury Marine from where he retired after 18 years. He was a member of the Church of Peace, lifetime member of the Disabled American Veterans, charter member of Wescot Sportsman's Club. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, the Green Bay Packers, and baking cookies. SURVIVORS: He is survived by one son, Peter (Bernadette) Woeshnick, Fond du Lac, two grandchildren, Dawn Woeshnick, Madison and Duane Woeshnick, Fond du Lac, and nieces and nephews. Raymond was preceded in death by his parents, wife, son Thomas, one grandson Dean, two brothers Clarence and Floyd, and four sisters, Leona Thompson, Genevieve Pappenfuss, Helen Toll, and Marion Woeshnik.



VISITATION: The family will receive friends on Friday, January 23, 2009 from 3 to 6 P.M. at The Uecker-Witt Funeral Home, 524 N. Park Avenue. Memorial Services will be held Friday, January 23, 2009 at 6:00 P.M. at the funeral home with Reverend James Martin officiating. Cremation will take place with inurnment at Ledgeview Memorial Park.Uecker-Witt Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
