Raymond J. Day, 72, formerly of 541 E. 9th, died Sunday, June 7, 2009, at All About Life Rehabilitation Center where he had been a resident for the past 2 years. He was born March 14, 1937, in Pewaukee, WI, the son of Elmer and Carol Potter Day. On September 18, 1965, he married Grace E. Summers at St. Joseph's Church in Fond du Lac. Raymond was formerly employed by Tolibia Cheese for 20 years. He was a veteran of the US Army, serving from 1955 to 1957. Surviving is his wife, Grace, a daughter, Julie (Bob) Willey of Fond du Lac, a son, Ralph (Angela) Day of Fond du Lac, four grandchildren, Dylan and Cassy Day, and Levi and Matthew Willey, his twin brother, Gerald (Esther) Day of Fond du Lac, his brother, Charles (Mary Jane) Day of Fond du Lac, and two sisters, Noreen Immel of Fond du Lac, and Loretta (Olle) Wendell of El Segundo, CA. He is further survived by two sisters-in-law, Pat (James) Seibel and Beverly Day, both of Fond du Lac, and three brothers-in law, Byron "Butch" Summers of Van Dyne, Fred Bender of Huntsville, AL, and Carols Marquez of Fond du Lac. His parents, three brothers, Robert, Ronald, and John Day, and two sisters, Jeanette Marquez and Marion Van Dyke preceded him in death.



Visitation for Mr. Raymond J. Day will be on Monday, June 15, 2009, from 1 to 4 pm at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. Memorial services will be at 4 pm at the funeral home. Cremation has taken place and inurnment of cremated remains will be in Ledgeview Memorial Park Cemetery at a later date. A memorial has been established in Ray's name.
