Raymond J. "Jim" Borzick, 86, of Fond du Lac, passed away Tuesday, September 20, 2022, at home surrounded by his family after losing his battle with AML Leukemia. He was born on November 29, 1935, in Ripon, the son of Raymond and Cecelia (Fox) Borzick. Jim graduated from Fond du Lac Senior High School, Class of 1955. He served in the Wisconsin Army National Guard from 1953 - 1955, then joined the U.S. Marine Corps, working as an MP and guard. He was honorably discharged on October 16, 1959, having earned the rank of corporal. On September 23, 1961, he married Arlene Develice at St. Louis Catholic Church in Fond du Lac.
Jim spent many years involved in the IAM & AW union as a steward, committee rep and executive board member while working in the Tecumseh Motors shop as a machinist, test specialist, and set up specialist. He was an active member of the Knights of Columbus, American Legion, Eagles, and Holy Family Catholic Church. Jim enjoyed traveling around the country with his wife and friends, cruises to Hawaii and Alaska, and visits with his grandchildren wherever they were located. For many years he was the family friend’s dog sitter, but nothing surpassed his love of being a grandfather.....until he became a great-grandfather.
Jim is survived by his wife, Arlene; two daughters, Debra (Greg) Bryant and Susan (Michael) Puddy; two grandchildren, Jessica Puddy and, Deanna (Sean) Graham; and great grandson, Jonathan M.
