Raymond J. Klein, age 87, of N8749 Lakeshore Dr, Fond du Lac, died Tuesday, July 26, 2011 at Hospice Home of Hope. He was born on September 11, 1923 in Iowa, the son of Leo and Ida Klein. Ray served as a medic in the United States Navy during World War II. On September 11, 1946 he married Barbara Holsapple in Brainerd, MN. She preceded him in death on February 14, 1996. Ray worked for forty-seven years as a crane operator and later as a foreman at Sadoff Iron and Metal. After retirement he worked as an aid for Johnson Bus Service. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, woodworking, and visiting with people. Most of all he enjoyed family gatherings. He was a member of Holy Family Parish.SURVIVORS: two daughters, Joanne Swalby of Randolph, Paula Klein (special friend Robert Harkins) of Fond du Lac, four grandchildren, Kimberly (Curt) Ketter of Lomira, Nicole Semrau of Beaver Dam, Kelly Narbatovics (fiancé Dana Lueloff) of Fond du Lac, Ryan (Michelle) Narbatovics of Fond du Lac, four great-grandchildren, Colton, Caleb, Landon, and Alivia, two sisters, Rose (Dudley) Cook of CA, Kathy (Don) O'Brien of Brainerd, MN, two brothers, Joseph (Barbara) Klein and Don (Vi) Klein both of Brainerd, MN, and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, and one brother, Walt.



VISITATION: Saturday, July 30, 2011 from 1-3 P.M. at Chapel of the Risen Christ Mausoleum, Calvary Cemetery, 686 Fond du Lac Ave, Fond du Lac. FUNERAL: Saturday, July 30, 2011 at 3:00 P.M. at Chapel of the Risen Christ Mausoleum with Deacon Larry Hughes officiating.
