Raymond Palm

March 26, 1919 — January 25, 2007

Raymond Palm, 87, formerly of 409 Wisconsin Avenue, North Fond du Lac, died Thursday, January 25, 2007, at Grancare Nursing Home where he had been a resident for the past two years. He was born March 26, 1919, in North Fond du Lac, the son of William and Marie(Solie) Palm. On March 1, 1944, he married Lucille Blinka at Bay City, TX. She preceded him on December 2, 1999. Mr. Palm was a member of Community Methodist Church in North Fond du Lac. He served as a conductor on the Soo Line Railroad from 1940 to 1982. He was a veteran of WW II serving in the European Theater of Operations under the command of General George S. Patton. Ray enjoyed NASCAR, swimming, watching TV sports, traveling to Florida and Nashville, and spending time with his children and grandchildren.Surviving is a son, Ronnie (Ann) Palm of Oshkosh, a daughter, Pamela Pucker of North Fond du Lac, and Robert Pucker of Neenah, six grandchildren, David (Shannon) Palm of St. Paul, MN, Kathleen (Kent) Miller of West Allis, Stephen (Jessica) Palm of Oshkosh, Matthew Pucker of Brooklyn, NY, Jason (Justine) Pucker of Chicago, and Stacey (Robert) Hartung of Milwaukee, and two great-grandchildren, Bailey and Connor Miller of West Allis. He is further survived by two sisters-in-law, Hilda Palm of Ferryville, WI, and Leona Brown of El Campo, TX, nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. His parents, wife, a daughter, Susan Palm, a grandson, Michael Pucker, a sister, Lorraine Sutton, and two brothers, William and Harold "Happy" Palm, a brother-in-law, William Sutton, and a sister-in-law, Adeline Palm preceded him in death.



Visitation for Mr. Raymond Palm will be on Sunday, January 28, 2007, from 4 to 6 pm at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. Funeral services will be on Sunday at 6 pm at the funeral home. The Rev. Kyochul Shin of Community Methodist Church will officiate, and family burial services will be on Monday, January 29th, at Estabrooks Cemetery.
