Raymond R. Lakin

Raymond R. Lakin, 94, of Oshkosh, died Saturday, May 14, 2022 at Oakwood Manor. He was born July 8, 1927, the son of Robert and Norma (Tate) Lakin. Raymond served during WWII in the US Navy, stationed in Hawaii. On February 18, 1961 he married Angie Soter and she preceded him in death. Raymond worked as an Electrical Engineer for Square D in Oshkosh until his retirement in 1991. He was a member of Lighthouse Anglers and loved fishing.



He is survived by his two daughters, Susan (Steve Fisher) Lakin and Julie Lakin; sister-in-law, Lucy Lakin; nieces, nephews, and other relatives. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Angie; and three brothers, Gordon, Eddie, and Arden.



At Raymond’s request cremation has taken place and burial will be in Rienzi Cemetery.
