Regina F. Bedford

Regina F. BedfordRegina F. Bedford, affectionately known by all as "Grams", 97, formerly of 313 Bischoff Street and currently a resident of the Fond du Lac Lutheran Home, died on Saturday, January 21, 2006, at the Hospice Home of Hope. She was born July 1, 1908, in Sheboygan, the daughter of Henry and Mary Trumm Gmach. Mrs. Bedford was a graduate of Central High School in Sheboygan. She was formerly married to Theodore Ziebert, Sr., and later married Harry Bedford in 1956. He preceded her in death in 1965. Mrs. Bedford was a former member of the Eastern Star and the American Airstream Club. She was part of the family-owned Gmach's Restaurant in downtown Sheboygan. She thoroughly enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, often taking spontaneous road trips, and dining out. She enjoyed lively conversation with any willing participant.Surviving are four granddaughters, Katherine (Jon) Westphal of Port Washington, WI, Elaine (Kevin) Burke of Madison, WI, Robin Ziebert of Rochester Hills, MI, and Ann (Stephen) Schneider of Fond du Lac, three grandsons, Karl (Rose) Ziebert of Fond du Lac, Ken (Sharon) Ziebert of Omro, and Paul Ziebert of Campbellsport, WI, and 14 great-grandchildren. Her parents, two husbands, two sons, Theodore "Ted" Jr., and Robert, a grandson, Theodore "Tod", and two brothers, Henry and Al Gmach preceded her in death.



Visitation for Mrs. Regina F. Bedford will be on Friday, January 27, 2006, from 4 to 6 pm at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home concluding with a memorial service at 6 pm at the funeral home. The Rev. Allen Bramstadt will officiate. Cremation has taken place. The family requests that memorials be directed to the Hospice Home of Hope.
