Reta B. Bellis

Reta B. Bellis, age 78, of 601 Kingswood Ave, Fond du Lac, died Friday, July 4, 2008 at her residence. She was born on April 26, 1930 in Wausau the daughter of Richard and Ethel (Carlson) Fontaine. On August 9, 1958 she married Neil Bellis in Mosinee. Reta grew up in Mosinee and lived in various cities until moving to Fond du Lac in 1962. She graduated from UW Stevens Point with a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education. Reta taught elementary education in Racine, Wausau, Eau Claire, and Fond du Lac, prior to becoming a training consultant for The School to Employment Program in Fond du Lac. She retired in 1999. Reta enjoyed playing bridge, doing crossword puzzles, and reading. SURVIVORS: her husband, Neil of Fond du Lac, two children, Scott (Joan) Bellis of Fond du Lac, Jyll (special friend April Scott) of Festus, Missouri, she was Nana to seven grandchildren, Jared (fiancé Sara Mehring) Bellis of Oshkosh, Nick Bellis of Fond du Lac, Geoff Bellis of Fond du Lac, Trisha (Jeramy) Martin of Swanannoa, NC, Tony (Stephanie) Wallendal of Fond du Lac, Jason (Korey) Wallendal of Sheboygan, Jared (Candi) Wallendal of Fond du Lac, three great-grandchildren, Aubri Martin, Morgan and Trinity Wallendal, one sister, Janet (Ronald) Stromen, of Ames, IA, one niece, Beth (John) Humble, one nephew, Marc (Paige) Stromen, and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents.



VISITATION: Tuesday, July 8, 2008 from 3-6 P.M. at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home, 524 N. Park Ave. Fond du Lac. FUNERAL: Tuesday, July 8, 2008 at 6:00 P.M. at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home with Deacon Paul Monzel officiating. Cremation will follow the traditional services.
