Reuben C. Rahl

Reuben C. Rahl, 85, a resident of the Fond du Lac Lutheran Home died Friday, August 9, 2013. He was born October 18, 1927 in Fond du Lac, the son of William and Jeanette Rahl. On September 1, 1951 he married Shirley Searles in Fond du Lac and she preceded him in death on June 18, 2008. Reuben was a U.S. Army veteran from 1946 "“ 1947. He worked at Rueping Leather Company. He was an avid sports fan, enjoyed fishing especially going to Silver Lake, loved snacks, and enjoyed traveling with his wife on European vacations. He is survived by one daughter, Linda Jean Rahl, Salinas, CA; two grandsons, Daniel Glen Skupniewicz, Salinas, CA and Joseph Ryan Skupniewicz, Santa Barbara, CA; one sister-in-law, Irene Roehl, Fond du Lac; one ex-brother-in-law Charles Skupniewicz; nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; one son, Glenn Rahl; one brother, Leo W. Roehl; two sisters, Nancy (Bob) Warner and Alice (Ed) Knecht.



Graveside services will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, August 17, 2013 at Avoca Cemetery in Oakfield, with Chaplain Dean Desilet officiating and Trier Puddy American Legion Post #75 conducting military graveside services.
