Richard “Dick” Harold Hintz, 81, of Rosendale and formerly of the Pickett area, died Friday, November 10, 2023, at Tower View Villa in Rosendale. He was born March 4, 1942, in Almond, WI, the son of Norbert and Vivian (Christensen) Hintz. Dick grew up on the family farm and graduated from Rosendale High School. He worked as an arborist for a short time, worked several trucking jobs, delivered farm equipment for Bluemke’s, and later retired from OEC Graphics of Oshkosh.
On September 22, 1973, he married Bonnie Lou Pischke at Messiah Lutheran Church in Ripon. Dick was a member of Peace Lutheran Church in Rosendale. He enjoyed woodworking, camping, reading, and a good polka band. Dick and Bonnie enjoyed traveling, together they hit almost all the states. First on their touring bike, and later in their RV.
He is survived by two sons, Jeffrey (Kerith) Hintz of Milton and Rodney Hintz of Ripon; three step-children, LouRae (Bill) Pucker of Rosendale, Russell (Kathy) Whitney of Juda, and Kelly (Scott) Sedo of Neenah; six grandchildren, Rustin Whitney, Riley (Carly) Whitney, Kyle (Erin) Pucker, Kory (Shelby) Pucker, Danielle (Jackson) Herd, and Haley (husband, Brett Koster) Sedo; three great grandchildren, Leah Whitney, Adelynn and Kayden Pucker; brother, Roger Hintz; and many nieces, nephews, and other relatives. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Bonnie; granddaughter-in-law, Tonya Whitney; brother-in-law, Arlin (Rose) Pischke; and sister-in-law, Carol Hintz.
The visitation will be held on Friday, December 1, 2023, from 1:00 PM – 2:30 PM at Peace Lutheran Church in Rosendale. The memorial service will be held at 2:30 PM following visitation. Cremation has taken place and burial will take place in Zoar Cemetery.
