Richard E. Seffern

Richard E. Seffern, age 78, of Fond du Lac, passed away on July 26, 2022, at St. Agnes Hospital after an extended illness. He was born on June 16, 1944, in Fond du Lac, the son of Herbert and Jeanette (Sattler) Seffern. Richard is now in Heaven with his wife Yvonne (Griese) Seffern. Richard worked at the SooLine Railroad for twenty five years. He also worked at Pick n Save and Jet Stream. Richard also had been on the Van Dyne Fire Department. Richard loved to play horseshoes, shoot pool, go bowling, and enjoyed being outside and in his garage.



Richard leaves behind one daughter, Lori (Dan) Bellmer; one step-son, Mike Griese; two brothers, Duncan (Cathie) Seffern and Brian Seffern; one sister, Bonnie (Alan) Wollerman; all of Fond du Lac; two grandchildren, Mindy Bellmer and Shannon (Joseph) Gremminger; eight great-grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; and his wife.



Visitation will take place on Friday, August 5, 2022, from 1:00 PM until 2:30 PM at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow the visitation at the funeral home at 2:30 PM. Burial will follow the service at Estabrooks Cemetery.
