Richard H. Kolitz, 73, of Fond du Lac, died Friday, February 12, 2016 at Hospice Home of Hope. He was born September 12, 1942 in Waupun, the son of Howard and Margaret Peters Kolitz. Richard graduated from Goodrich High School. On March 30, 1960 he married Sharon M. Baltz in Fond du Lac and she preceded him in death on July 30, 2008. Richard was an inspector with Giddings & Lewis for over 40 years, retiring in 2004. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, going to Brewer games, and loved attending all of his grandchildren’s activities.
He is survived by three children, Faith (Mark) Wielgosh of Waupun, Cheryl Kolitz of Fond du Lac, and Brenda (Jerry) Schmitt of Lomira; six grandchildren, Joseph Spinnato, Dustin Spinnato, Matthew Kolitz, Shandell Kolitz, Tony Marchenkuski, and Rachel (Dane) Schommer; eleven great grandchildren; two brothers, William (Sherry Ball) Kolitz and Thomas (Dorred) Schubert, both of Fond du Lac; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; step father, Raymond Schubert; his wife, Sharon; one brother, Edward Schubert; and one sister, Gladys Cooper.
The visitation will be held from 4:00 – 7:00 pm on Tuesday, February 16, 2016 at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held at 7:00 pm on Tuesday, February 16, 2016 at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. Entombment will take place in the Shrine of Rest Mausoleum, Ledgeview Memorial Park.
