Richard K. Liebelt

Richard K. Liebelt, age 73, of Fond du Lac passed away Sunday, November 5, 2017 at St. Agnes Hospital. He was born on November 15, 1943 in Fond du Lac, the son of John and Virginia (Stueber) Liebelt. On June 27, 1970 he married Eydie Balken in Fond du Lac where they then lived and raised their family. Richard farmed until 1970 then went on to work for Damrow Co. for twenty-six years where his children loved sneaking him donuts through the window. He and Eydie later formed Laurel Prints Inc. through which they traveled and met many new friends while growing the business together.



Richard gave his life to the Lord at a young age, enjoyed Gospel music, and was an active member of Lighthouse Christian Church. An avid outdoorsman, devoted husband, and family man Richard enjoyed spending time hiking, camping, hunting and fishing with his wife and children.



Survivors include his wife Eydie; his children, Darlene (Fritz) Schubert, Laura (Jon) Doern, Ryan Liebelt, Jonathan (Dawn) Liebelt, Willow Ridley, Matthew (Adelyn) Liebelt, Nick Olig, Michael Liebelt; his grandchildren, Corey Atkins, Theresa Atkins, Joseph Liebelt, Brooke Liebelt, Gabrielle Liebelt, Violet Liebelt, Miles Liebelt, Phoebe Liebelt; his siblings, David (Muriel) Liebelt, Robert (Marj) Liebelt, Judy (Rudy) Wojahn, Kathy (Dan) Rubin; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Jerry and Rachel Smith, William Snyder, Noel Hayes, Tom Hayes, Brent and Melonie Balken, Byron and June Balken, Heidi and Corey Guell, Christopher and Arita Balken; and many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; and daughter-in-law, Dawn Atkins-Liebelt.



Visitation will take place on Monday, November 13, 2017, from 3-6 PM at Lighthouse Christian Church, 401 S. National Ave, Fond du Lac, WI, 54935. A funeral service will follow visitation at the church at 6:00 PM. Cremation has taken place.
