Richard L. "Rick" Doran

We are sad to announce the passing of Richard “Rick” Doran of Fond du Lac, WI. He passed away suddenly at the age of 62 on April 2, 2023.

Rick was born in Madison, WI and lived there throughout his childhood, graduating high school in his hometown. He called Menomonee Falls, WI and finally Fond du Lac, WI home. He was married to his loving wife, Susan Doran, for 32 years.

Rick worked as a welder for various manufacturing facilities throughout his career. He as an avid-music fan, often driving his wife crazy with his loud music. Anyone who knew him, knew it was “pleasure” to watch sports with him. In his spare time, he also enjoyed creating jewelry and furniture for his loved ones. Rick was a bit of a “grumpy old man” on the outside but loved his family and friends fiercely.

He was survived by his wife, Susan Doran, daughters, Jayne Gulbrand (Erik) and Jessica Koepp; and grandchildren Jacob and Kyra Koepp and close friends. Everyone who loved him will miss him fiercely.

The family will be holding a private celebration of life for close friends and family.
