RICHARD N. HOLBACHRichard N. Holbach, 77, formerly of 493 Winnegbago Drive, died Thursday, January 13, 2011 at St. Agnes Hospital. He was born on March 2, 1933 in Burnett, WI the son of Peter and Rose Schreiner Holbach. On September 12, 1956 he married Shirley A. Genrich. She preceded him in death on January 27, 1989. On June 20, 1990 he married Agnes Heiser and she preceded him in death on January 11, 2010. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in the 2nd Platoon stationed in Germany from 1951-1954. He worked for the Soo Line Railroad and later the Wisconsin Central Railroad for 32 years retiring as a shop foreman. After retirement he moved to Arizona from 1995-2006. Richard had an avid love for horses and dogs, enjoyed the outdoors, baseball and softball, and woodworking where he made his own furniture. He started bowling at age 55 and had several 300 games. He was a member of FDL Eagles Aerie No. 270. SURVIVORS: He is survived by his children Teri (Dennis) Reeves, Park Hill, OK, Gary (Lizabeth) Holbach, Milwaukee, Gale (Christopher) Mass, Oakfield, Rick (Wendy) Holbach, Corpus Cristie, TX, Tracy (Adam) Speis, Fond du Lac, eight grandchildren Jessica, Heather, Adam, William, Allison, Brianna, Michael, and Grant, three great-grandchildren Elizabeth, David, and Aubrey, brothers and sisters, Henry Holbach, Waupun, Lauretta Peters, Horicon, Melvin (Millie) Holbach, Waupun, and Ginny (Gene) Rake, Columbus, and one sister-in-law Jean Holbach, Florida, many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, his two wives, four brothers and sisters.
SERVICES: Friends may call on Monday, January 17, 2011, from 9-10:30 A.M. at Holy Family Parish- St. Mary's Church. FUNERAL: Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 A.M on Monday, January 17, 2011 at Holy Family Parish- St. Mary's Church with Reverend Robert Stiefvater officiating. Entombment will follow at the Chapel of The Risen Christ Mausoleum, Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials appreciated to the American Cancer Society.
