Mr. Richard "Dick" P. SandmayrMr. Richard "Dick" P. Sandmayr, 76, of 354 Tompkins Street, died Friday, June 17, 2005, at St. Agnes Hospital. He was born June 25, 1928, in Milwaukee, the son of William and Marie Friedel Sandmayr. On July 2, 1949, he married Lucille Narance at St. Mary's Church. Mr. Sandmayr was a charter member of Holy Family Parish-Sacred Heart Church. He was formerly employed by Galloway West Company for 37 years, retiring in 1990. He had been a Fond du Lac resident since 1945, coming from Milwaukee. He was an active member of Eagles Aerie #270, Teamsters Local #126 as Recording Secretary and later President, and he enjoyed bowling, hunting, softball, and other outdoor activities. Surviving is his wife, Lucille, a daughter, Elaine Bublitz of Fond du Lac, two sons, Jeffery Sandmayr of Fond du Lac, and Russell Sandmayr of Greenbush, seven grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren. He is further survived by a brother, William (Marge) Sandmayr of Loveland, OH. His parents and a brother, Andrew, preceded him in death.
Visitation for Mr. Richard P. Sandmayr will be on Monday 4 to 7 pm at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. Liturgy of Christian Burial will be on Tuesday at 10:30 am at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. Deacon Larry Hughes will officiate and entombment will be in Chapel of The Risen Christ Mausoleum, Calvary Cemetery.
