Richard R. Behnke

Richard R. Behnke, 73, of Fond du Lac, died Saturday, September 23, 2017 at his residence. He was born September 5, 1944 in Fond du Lac, the son of Elmer and Viola Pelishek Behnke. Richard was a member of Bethel Lutheran Church. He was an independent jeweler for 11 years and worked for Reimer Jewelers in Oshkosh for 22 years. Richard enjoyed traveling, especially bus trips, going to the YMCA daily, bicycling, and spending time with family and friends.



He is survived by two brothers, Darryl (Margaret) Behnke of Fond du Lac and James (Yvonne) Behnke of Mt. Calvary; nieces and nephews, Kurt Behnke, Kevin (Marlo) Behnke, Patrick Behnke, John (Laura) Behnke, Jody (Thelma) Behnke, Michele Farvour, and Katie (Mike) Wagner; other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.



A visitation will take place from 4:00 – 7:00 PM on Wednesday, October 4, 2017 at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. Cremation has taken place and private inurnment in Bethel Cemetery will be held at a later date.
