Richard R. Paulson, 72, of N2391 Rapp Road, Lodi, WI, died Monday, October 09, 2006, at his residence. He was born October 25, 1933, in Norway Grove, Dane County, the son of Clarence L. and Elma A., Meurer Paulson. On October 22, 1955, he married Gladys L. George in Lodi, WI. Mr. Paulson was formerly employed by Mercury Marine for 30 years, retiring in 1995. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Lighthouse Anglers, Eagles Aerie #270, and an honorary member of Trier-Puddy American Legion Post #75. He also volunteered for the Mercury National Fishing and "Get Kids Hooked on Fishing, Not Drugs" tournaments. Surviving is his wife, Gladys, five sons; Martin A. (Jane) Paulson of Fond du Lac, James T. Paulson of Fond du Lac, Thomas A. (Beth) Paulson of De Pere, John L. (Michelle) Paulson of Fond du Lac, and David S. (Special friend Kessea Kuss) Paulson of Menasha, three daughters; Debra L. (Thomas) Cooley, Susan M. (David) George, and Jane E. (Terry) Albrecht, all of Fond du Lac, 14 grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. He is further survived by a sister, Clarice Paulson of Lodi, a brother, Kenneth (Arlene) Paulson of Rothschild, WI, and an aunt, Esther Goodin, of DeForest, WI. Also surviving are nieces, nephews, cousins, great nephews, and nieces. His parents, a brother, a sister, and a daughter-in-law, Sally Roberts Paulson, preceded him in death.
Visitation for Mr. Richard R. Paulson will be on Wednesday October 11, 2006, from 4 to 8 pm at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home, and on Thursday, October 12, 2006, from 9:30 to 10:30 am at the First Presbyterian Church, 1225 4th Street. Funeral services will be on Thursday at 10:30 am at the church. The Rev. Barbara Carmichael will officiate and burial will be in St. Charles Cemetery. The family requests that memorials be directed to Fond du Lac Youth Sports (Baseball or Basketball), or to the organization/charity of donor's choice.
