Richard T. Lee, 79, formerly of Fond du Lac and currently of Germantown, died Wednesday, June 27, 2012 at his residence. He was born August 30, 1932 in Evanston, IL, the son of Joseph E. and Angeline H. Verbeten Lee. Richard was a seaman with the U.S. Coast Guard serving from 1952 "“ 1954 during the Korean War receiving the National Defense Service Medal, Korean Service Medal and United Nations Service Medal. On October 19, 1957 he married Laura J. vonRohr at St. Jerome's Catholic Church, Chicago. He worked for AC Neilson until his retirement in 1987. Richard was a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church in Germantown and a past member of Eagles Aerie #247. Richard enjoyed gardening, birds, watching the Chicago Bears and White Sox, was an avid jogger with his St. Bernard, Lucky, and loved spending time with his family.SURVIVORS: his wife, Laura Lee, Germantown; five children, James Lee, Schaumburg, IL, Steven Lee, Fond du Lac, Robert (Jackie) Lee, Roselle, IL, Kenneth (Peggy) Lee, Martinsburg, WV, Karen (Greg) Volz, Menomonee Falls; ten grandchildren, Adam, Joseph, Michael, Matthew, Richard, Jenni, Laura, Jason, Drake, Karly; one great granddaughter, Hailey. He is further survived by two brothers, John (Sally) Lee, Skokie, IL and Robert Lee, Waukegan, IL; special friends, Noel Boretti and Bob Keller, both of Illinois; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.
VISITATION: will be from 5 "“ 7 PM on Friday, June 29, 2012 at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home and again on Saturday from 9 "“ 10 AM at the church. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 AM on Saturday, June 30, 2012 at Holy Family Church, 271 4th Street Way, Fond du Lac.
