Richard W. Blattner

Richard W. Blattner, 64, of 1062 S. Park Avenue, died Monday, July 19, 2010, at St. Agnes Hospital. He was born February 13, 1946, in Fond du Lac, the son of Clemens and Mavis Hefter Blattner. On May 3, 1969, he married Judi Berens in Fond du Lac. Richard was formerly employed by Giddings & Lewis for over 25 years, and was a member of the G & L Oldsters Club. He enjoyed NASCAR racing, the Packers, and going to Las Vegas with his wife. He was a veteran of the US Army and served in Vietnam from 1966 to 1967. Surviving is his wife, Judi, a brother, Donald (Nancy) Blattner of Valrico, FL, a sister-in-law, Mary Lou Blattner of Fond du Lac, a brother-in-law, Larry (Cindy) Berens of DeForest, WI, two nieces, Heather Blattner of Valrico, FL, and Melissa (Peyton) Mulholland of Fond du Lac, three nephews, Justin (Kathy) Berens of Oshkosh, Michael Blattner of Fond du Lac, and Ryan Blattner of Valrico, FL, and great nieces and nephews. His parents, stepfather, Herbert Berghandler, a sister, Darlene Duescher, and a brother, Robert Blattner preceded him in death.



Visitation for Richard W. Blattner will be on Thursday, July 22, 2010, from 4 to 8 PM at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home, and from 9 to 10:30 AM on Friday at the funeral home. Liturgy of the Word for Christian Burial services will be at 10:30 AM at the funeral home on Friday. Deacon Larry Hughes will officiate and burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
