Richard W. VaughanRichard W. Vaughan, 74, formerly of North Fond du Lac, died Wednesday, January 12, 2005, at Rolling Meadows Nursing Home. He was born on February 21, 1930, in Manitowoc, the son of William and Elizabeth Jagemann Vaughan. Richard was a graduate of Lincoln High School in Manitowoc, Class of 1948. He attended the University of Wisconsin prior to graduating from St. Norbert College. He taught school for 30 years. Most of his teaching career was spent at Bessie Allen Middle School in North Fond du Lac. He was well liked and respected by his many students.Survivors include two sons, Gary Vaughan and his wife Sharon (Costello) of Kimberly, and their children, Christy and Kevin; Gordy Vaughan and his wife Julie (Ellingson) of Fond du Lac, and their children, Amy, Rachel, and Wade. He is also survived by five daughters, Holly Hassell and her special friend, Brian Fuller of Rhinelander, and her son, Greg Vaughan; Suzi Perron and her husband Mike of Sparta and their children Joshua and Brandon; Vernali Vaughan of Rhinelander, and her son, Eric Vaughan; Jami Vaughan of Rhinelander, and Jeni Vaughan of Rhinelander, a sister-in-law, Burzilla Vaughan of Lexington, IL, and several nieces and nephews. His former wife, Eunice C. Karbon of Rhinelander, further survives him. His parents, and a brother, Thomas J. Vaughan, preceded him in death.



Visitation for Mr. Richard W. Vaughan will be on Sunday, January 16, 2005, from 4 to 7 pm at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. Liturgy of the Word services will be on Sunday, January 16, 2005, at 7 pm at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. Deacon Peter Reinl will officiate and burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Manitowoc.
