Rick A. Magyar, 66, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 18, 2021, at Hospice Home of Hope in Fond du Lac. He was born in Fond du Lac on September 30, 1954, to George and Janet (Musack) Magyar.

Rick was a great cook with his potato salad being a favorite at potlucks. He loved traveling to South Dakota to see his stepdaughter and step-son-in-law, and loved feeding cheeseburgers to their dog, Ruger. Rick was a collector of eagle, wolve, and motorcycle figurines and was an avid fan of the Packers and watched every game.

He loved the Lord, going to church, attending men’s study groups, Sunday services, and church potlucks. He was a member of Calvary Bible Church in Fond du Lac.

Survivors include his wife, Donna; mother, Janet Magyar of Theresa; step-daughter, Karissa (Zac) Zumwalt of Sioux City, Iowa; two brothers, Dale Magyar of Horicon and Bruce Magyar of Theresa; sister, Cindy Albert of Fond du Lac; four brothers-in-law, Jim Anderson, Ron Shepherd, Scott Shepherd, and Dave Furnas, all of Fond du Lac; two sisters-in-law, Rebecca Anderson and Debi Furnas, both of Fond du Lac; four nephews, Ethan Anderson, Jonathan Levengood, Mike Albert, and Isaac Shepherd; and a niece, Savannah Shepherd. He is further survived by other nieces and nephews and his friends at the Western Apartments in Fond du Lac. He was preceded in death by his father and a brother, Keith Magyar.

Visitation will be held from 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM, Saturday, September 25, 2021, at Calvary Bible Church, 70 E. Pioneer Rd. in Fond du Lac. A memorial service at the church will begin at 2:00 PM with Pastor Ken Kramer officiating. Cremation has taken place.
