Rickey A. Smith, 69, went to his heavenly home on Thursday, June 20, 2024, at St. Agnes Hospital, where he was surrounded by his family and friends during his final days. He was born October 15, 1954 in Fond du Lac, the son of Clayton and Mavis (Kaiser) Smith. Rickey spent most of his life living in Fond du Lac, where he worked for Galloway-West (later known as Saputo Cheese) and Bob’s Pizza. He was an avid pool shooter and a classic car enthusiast. He enjoyed fishing, supper clubs, and watching the Brewers, Packers, and NASCAR. Most of all, he had an unwavering love for his daughter, son-in-law, and new granddaughter.
He will be missed by many and is survived by his daughter, Leanne (Andy); granddaughter, Adalyn; his mother, Mavis; three siblings, Terry, Tammy (Dan), and Jay; his former wife, Diane; nieces, nephews, and other relatives. He was preceded in death by his father, Clayton.
The visitation will be held from 4:00 - 8:00 PM on Thursday, June 27, 2024 at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home and again from 10:00 - 11:00 AM on Friday, June 28, 2024 at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, June 28, 2024 at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 855 Martin Avenue in Fond du Lac. Entombment will follow in Shrine of Rest Mausoleum, Ledgeview Memorial Park.
