Robert A. Acord

Robert A. Acord, 79 of Fond du Lac, died Sunday, July 11, 2021 at St. Agnes Hospital. He was born July 31, 1941 in Fond du Lac, the son of Leo and Margaret (Ecke) Acord. Robert graduated from Goodrich High School. After graduation he served in the U.S. Army. Robert worked for the Soo Line Railroad as an engineer until his retirement. On January 17, 1997 he married Cairn A. Faris at St. Louis Catholic Church in Fond du Lac. Robert enjoyed coaching youth baseball, scuba diving, running, reading, and was a world traveler.



He is survived by his wife, Cairn; three stepchildren, Tara (Van) Dusenberry of Ogden, UT, Dr. Richard (Leanne) Faris II of Sewickley, PA, and Mark (Susan) Faris of Tampa, FL; eight grandchildren, Hannah Majeska, Benjamin Majeska, Seth Faris, Cammi Faris, Ethan Faris, Connor Faris, Caleb Faris, and Chloe Faris; one sister, Susie (Rick) Doran of Fond du Lac; and nieces, nephews, and other relatives. He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Patricia Johannes and Nancy Grassy.



The visitation will be held Thursday, July 15, 2021 from 2:00 – 3:00 PM at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. The memorial service will be held at 3:00 PM on Thursday at the funeral home. Cremation has taken place.



In lieu of flowers, memorials in Robert’s name are appreciated to Agnesian Hospice.
