Robert A. Jones

Robert A. Jones, 67, of Fond du Lac, died Wednesday, January 4, 2012 at Hospice Home of Hope. He was born November 27, 1944 in Beaver Dam, the son of Edgar A. and June G. Adamzak Jones. Bob worked for Giddings & Lewis for 28 years retiring in 1999. He was a member of the Army National Guard and was active in the Milwaukee Race Riots in the early 1960's. Bob enjoyed going to steam engine shows, woodworking, and could fix anything.SURVIVORS: one daughter, Schawna Jones, Fond du Lac; one granddaughter, Miranda Lobajeski; seven siblings, Judy (Ronald) Halfman, Beaver Dam, Linda (Marvin) Engebretson, Ripon, Alan Jones, Sparta, Edgar A. (Pam) Jones, Jr., Markesan, Steve Jones, Mayville, Jim Jones, Mayville, Audrey (Alan) Thomas, Beaver Dam; one brother-in-law, Bruce Fleischfresser, Marinette. He is further survived by his best friend, Gerd Sterr, Fond du Lac; his dear former wife, Diane Bloedorn, Fond du Lac; other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Peter Jones; one sister, Beverly Fleischfresser.



VISITATION: will be from 3 "“ 6 PM on Sunday, January 8, 2012 at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held at 6 PM on Sunday, January 8, 2012 at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home with Rev. Robert Rosenberg officiating. Burial will take place Monday, January 9, 2012 at Highland Memory Gardens, Beaver Dam.A memorial will be established in Bob's name.Uecker-Witt Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
