Robert A. Nett, 83, of Fond du Lac, died Sunday, July 13, 2014 surrounded by his family, at Manor Care Nursing Home. He was born June 2, 1931 in Johnsburg, the son of Eulalia Nett. On June 20, 1950 he married Cleora M. Buechel at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Jericho. Robert spent his life raising his family and caring for his wife during her years with MS. He loved going dancing every Wednesday night at the Fond du Lac Senior Center. He was a member of the “We Love to Dance Club”. Robert had a great passion for his profession as a truck driver for over 30 years for Olsen/C.W. Transport. Robert most enjoyed going to his children’s, grandchildren’s and great grandchildren’s softball and basketball games. His family enjoyed his rendition of “A Partridge in a Pear Tree” at Christmas time. Robert also loved the “hugs” and “kisses” from his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.



He is survived by his four daughters, Phyllis (Daryl) Dahl of Fond du Lac, Beverly Rogne of Kiel, Sheila (Ralph “Chip”) Keifenheim of Mt. Calvary, and Vickie (Mike) Hammock of Fond du Lac; his daughter-in-law, Lois Nett of Loyal, Wisconsin; his grandchildren, Brian (Michele) Sabel, Brad (Debbie) Sabel, Brent (Sherry) Sabel, Kurtis (Tracy) Stephany, Jeremy (Holly) Nett, Heather (Jamie) Wenzel, Nicholas (Lizz) Nett, Brittany (Jason) Staver, Tammy (Darnell) Fagbemi, Jenny Walesh, Kelly (Keith) Tasch, Jami (Scott) Nett, Eric (Ashley) Nett, Jacob and Sydney Hammock; one step granddaughter, Kimberley (special friend, Steve) Keifenheim; one step grandson, Ian Hammock; his great grandchildren, Alyssa, Brianna, Hunter, Jenna, Krista, Sharleah, and Brendan Sabel; Isaak Stephany, Kesten Grambsch, Taylor, Halle and Taya Nett, Daxtyn, Zayden and Kollyns Wenzel, Brayden, Blake and Blair Fagbemi; Katelyn and Karli Jo Walesh, Bryleigh and Ella Jo Tasch, Josie and Laney Nett; two step great granddaughters, Macy and Bella Stecker. He is further survived by his siblings, Vern (Joan) Schneider, Ferd (Karen) Schneider, Irene (Gene) Miller, Lillian (Tom) Putzer, Katie Nest, George (Pat) Schneider, Mary Jane Salm, and Barbara Mickelson; his brothers and sisters-in-law, Bruno (Lillian) Kraus, Valeria Stephany, Clarinda (Lloyd) Meyer, and Eldred Buechel; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, Eulalia; his wife, Cleora; his father and mother-in-law, Leo and Augusta Buechel; two sons, Arlyn and Clyde Nett; son-in-law, Darrell Rogne; great grandsons, Alex Kraus and Sheldon Sabel; his brothers and sisters-in-law, Elmer (Verna) Buechel, Minerva (Leo) Albert, Elvira Kraus, Donald Nest, Dan Mickelson, and Richard Stephany.



The visitation will be held from 4:00 – 8:00 pm on Wednesday, July 16, 2014 at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home and again on Thursday from 9:30 – 10:30 am at the funeral home. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, July 17, 2014 at St. Mary’s Church, Holy Family Parish with Rev. Mike Bertram officiating. Burial will be held in St. John the Baptist Parish Cemetery, Johnsburg.



In lieu of flowers memorials can be directed to St. Francis Home for Healing and Recovery or Agnesian Hospice Hope.



The family extends a special thank you to the staff at Adult Day Care, St. Francis Home for Healing and Recovery, Manor Care Nursing Home, and Agnesian Hospice Hope for their compassion and kind support to Robert and his family.
