Robert A. Nietman

Robert A. Nietman, 79, of 507 5th Street, died Friday, February 24, 2006, at St. Agnes Hospital surrounded by his family. He was born July 16, 1926, in Fond du Lac, the son of Arthur and Martha "Marge" Hass Nietman. Robert was a 1944 graduate of Fond du Lac High School and received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Economics from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1951. On June 12, 1954, he married F. Jane Annis at St. Patrick's Church in Fond du Lac. He was formerly employed by Giddings & Lewis as a Sales Engineer for 38 years. His memberships included G & L Staff Club, G & L Oldsters Club, the G & L Wednesday Nite Golf League, Knights of Columbus Council #664, and the "monthly poker group." In addition, he was a member and past President and Governor of Toastmasters International. Surviving is his wife of 51 years, Jane, a daughter, Nancy Nietman of Richmond, VA, a son, Michael Nietman of Mauston, WI, and a brother-in-law, John (Pat) Annis of Milwaukee. His parents preceded him in death.



Visitation for Mr. Robert A. Nietman will be on Monday, February 27, 2006, from 4 to 8 pm at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. Funeral services will be on Tuesday, February 28, 2006, at 10 am from Uecker-Witt Funeral Home and Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 am at Sacred Heart Church on Tuesday. Entombment will be in the Chapel of the Risen Christ Mausoleum, Calvary Cemetery. A memorial has been established in Mr. Nietman's name.
