Robert B. Knueppel

Robert B. Knueppel, 68, of Fond du Lac, passed away on Tuesday, May 12, 2015 surrounded by his loved ones at Froedtert Hospital in Milwaukee.



Knueppel was born in Fond du Lac on January 20, 1947 to Harold P. and Mary Jean (Gaffney) Knueppel. He graduated from Goodrich High School in 1965 and continued on to serve in the US Army in 1966. He received a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing from UW Stout in 1973.



Knueppel taught sales and marketing for 10 years at West Bend East High School, and worked as an administrator at Moraine Park Technical College for more than 20 years. He enjoyed golfing with his life-long friends Mike, Jerry, Joe, and Pat, dearly loved spending time with his family and dreaming up ways to spoil his grandchildren. You could find him most days shopping for new cars or enthusiastically watching the stock market, and he never met a piece of chocolate he didn’t like. Knueppel was married to Denise (Torgersen) on the 19th of September, 2008 and he will be remembered for his kind heart, warm laugh and friendly demeanor.



Knueppel is survived by his wife Denise, his three children from his first marriage, Scott Knueppel, Jennifer (Knueppel) Buckmaster and her husband Adam, Ryan Knueppel and his Wife Sarah; his four step-children, Brian Torgersen and his wife Jen, Stacy (Torgersen) Plummer and her husband Bernie, Stephanie (Torgersen) Neff and her husband Tony, Brett Torgersen and his wife Kristina; his 2 beloved granddaughters Ellis and Mia; his 6 step-grandchildren Taylor, Hannah, Riley, Gavin, Ava and Carson; his sister Pamela Wirtz, her husband Ken; his three nephews, Tim Wirtz and his wife Sally, Tom Wirtz and his wife Amber and Todd Wirtz, as well as other friends and relatives.



Knueppel was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Mary Jean.



Visitation will be held from 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM on Sunday, May 17, 2015 at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home, 524 N. Park Ave. in Fond du Lac with funeral services to follow. Pastor Steve Huff of Hope Lutheran Church will be officiating.



A private family burial will be held on Monday, May 18, 2015 at Calvary Cemetery in Fond du Lac
