Robert B. Walker

Robert B. Walker, 78, of 376 North Seymour Street, Fond du Lac, died Wednesday, November 26, 2008 at his residence. He was born November 16, 1930 in Fond du Lac, the son of Benjamin and Marguerite Voysey Walker. On September 27, 1953 he married Hiroe Shoni at the American Embassy in Tokyo, Japan. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army stationed in Japan during the Korean War. He was employed with Giddings and Lewis in the sales department for 26 years retiring in 1984. He was a member of Immanuel-Trinity Lutheran Church and served as a head usher for several years. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping and the great outdoors.SURVIVORS: his wife, Hiroe Walker; four children, William Walker, North Fond du Lac, Nancy (Walter) Snyder, Fond du Lac, Donna Bauer, Fond du Lac, Michael Walker, Fond du Lac; nine grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; one brother, Kenneth (Gerry) Walker, Fond du Lac; three sisters, Betty Dewalle, Green Bay, WI, Darlene Drehmel, Saxeville, WI, Shirley Schibline, Loveland, CO. He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, John Walker; one brother-in-law, Rudy Drehmel.



VISITATION: Friends may call on Monday, December 1, 2008 from 6 to 8 PM at Immanuel-Trinity Lutheran Church, 40 East Division Street, Fond du Lac. The funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, December 2, 2008 at Immanuel-Trinity Lutheran Church, 40 E. Division Street, Fond du Lac, with Rev. Shari Routh officiating. Entombment will follow at Shrine of Rest Mausoleum, Ledgeview Memorial Park. Friends may call at the church on Tuesday from 9:00 A.M. until the time of services Trier-Puddy American Legion Post #75 will conduct military services.Uecker-Witt Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
