Bob "˜Bud "˜ Perry, 90, a resident of Fond du Lac passed away Saturday, May 14 , 2011 at his home, with his loving family around him. He was born March 27, 1921 in Fond du Lac, a son of the late Manville and Marion Perry. On November 25, 1950, he married Bernita Gerhartz at St. Mary's Church, in Stockbridge, Wi. They celebrated 60 years of marriage on Thanksgiving Day 2010. Bob attended Goodrich High School, and served his country by enlisting in the US Navy serving during WWII.He was a member of the Fond du Lac Drum and Bugle Corps and entered competition at St Louis, Mo., where they were Awarded a First from Gen. Omar Bradley. Bob worked at Giddings and Lewis Machine Tool Co., retiring in 1984, after 42 years with the company. Also worked in the Family Ceramic Studio. He was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church, Charter member of Sacred Heart, Bereavement Ministry at Sacred Heart, Knight's of Columbus , 4th Degree, American Legion, Eagles club and "TPU" Taylor Park. His Faith in the Lord was strong, he loved the Lord and his family deeply. Another love was Hockey. He played hockey with the Fond du Lac Bears before and after WWII. Bob was an avid sportsman and athlete, who went to State for pole vaulting in high school. He loved hunting , fishing, bowling, golf, especially enjoyed dancing, belonging to various dance clubs.Survivors include his wife , Bernita and four children, son Brian (Sue) Perry Mayville, Wi. Daughter, Jean Perry (Shawn Messier) Westport ,Ottawa, Canada, son Kurt Perry (fiance Jane Knueppel), Fond du Lac, Wi , daughter Karen Perry Craig, Palm City, Florida, two grandsons, Justin Perry, Stevens Point, Wi and Nicholas Perry, Mayville, Wi. , 7 sisters-in law, 4 brothers-in-law, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and only sister Doris and her husband Bob Balthazor.



Services : A Mass of Christian burial will be held Friday, May 20, 2011 at 11 AM at Holy Family Parish Sacred Heart Church, 232 S. Peters Ave, Fond du Lac, May 20, 2011. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery.Visitation: will be held Thursday, May 19, 2011 from 4-8 PM at Uecker Witt Funeral Home, 524 N. Park Ave. And before the Mass on Friday from 10:00 AM until 10:45 AM at Sacred Heart Church.Additional information and guestbook can be found at www.ueckerwitt.comUecker-Witt Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
