Robert C. "Bob" Resop

ROBERT "BOB" C. RESOP, SR.Robert "Bob" C. Resop, Sr., age 83 of Fond du Lac died Friday afternoon, January 1, 2010 at his residence with his family by his side. He was born in Fond du Lac on April 29, 1926 the son of Felix and Ida Eaton Resop. On June 5, 1948 he married Bernice Marquard in Fond du Lac. Bob worked as a truck driver for 37 years. His work career started with Northern Transportation, which later became Gateway Transportation and he retired in 1983 from Maislin Transportation.Bob was a proud gardener and loved to grow vegetables and give them away. He enjoyed having a beer with his buddies. Bob enjoyed doing small wood working projects after he retired. He was a member of the United Church of Christ-Church of Peace, Fond du Lac. Bob was an avid Packer, Brewer, and Badger fan. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.Survivors include his wife Bernice Resop, Fond du Lac, seven children; Brenda (Ronald) Roehl, Fond du Lac, Barbara (Elmer) Ditter, Mt.Calvary, Betty Resop, Whitewater, Robert J. Resop, Fond du Lac, Richard H. Resop, Fond du Lac, Bonnie Resop, Fond du Lac, Randall (partner, Brian Beyer) Resop, Fond du Lac, grandchildren; Cammy (Daniel) Wall, Amanda (special friend Frank Cordio) Post, Joseph (Brooke) Post, Ryan LaBelle, James Resop, Jennifer (special friend Tildal Hibler) Resop, Jacob Resop, Aleisha Clapper and Marcus Clapper. Step-grandchildren; Wendy (special friend Russell Gulig) Bebow, Robert and Douglas Roehl, great-grandchildren; Hunter Reidel, Zayden Garcia, Konner and Mason Post, Ainsley and Carter Wall, Diondre, Keegan and Alaina Clapper and Tyriana Hibler, step-great grandchildren; Jesse Bebow, Angela (Michael) Holiday, step-great-great grandson; Seth Holiday. Also surviving are sisters; Virginia Bird, Delores Emmer; brother, Clayton Resop. He is further survived by sister-in-laws; Henrietta Scholten, Elaine (LeRoy) Patt, Annette Marquard, Nancy (Robert) Dempsey, Janice Eberhardy, brother-in-laws; Kenneth (Marlene) Marquard, Carl (Donna) Marquardt, many nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter Beverly, a daughter-in-law, Mary "Sue" Resop, Sister Adrian, brothers, Felix, Jr., Norman and Gordon; in laws Henry and Meta Marquard, Helen Altman, and Jerome Marquard. "Special thanks to Dr. Sergi, the staff of Agnesian Hospital and Hospice for all the tender care they gave to Bob and to Pastor Jim and Jenny for their comforting support and prayers they extended to our family.



VISITATION: Friends may call on Tuesday, January 5, 2010 from 3 to 7 PM at the Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. FUNERAL: Funeral services will be held Tuesday, January 5, 2010 at 7:00 PM with Reverend James F.D. Martin officiating. Burial will be in Ledgeview Memorial Park.In lieu of flowers memorials appreciated to the family.Uecker-Witt Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
