Robert E. Buck, age 84, of N7599 Townline Road, Fond du Lac, died Thursday, March 17, 2011. He was born on February 8, 1927 in Pamlico Co. North Carolina, the son of William and Maggie Buck. Robert served in the United States Navy during World War II. He was employed at the Chicago and Northwestern, ATSF in Arizona, and Soo Line Railroads from 1946 to 1986. On November 6, 1948 he married Gloria Orsi at the United Methodist Church in North Fond du Lac. He enjoyed doing woodworking, gardening, and lawn work. He was an avid Green Bay Packer fan and NASCAR fan. His dog Rusty was always by his side.SURVIVORS: his beloved wife Gloria of sixty-two years, one daughter, Angela Choren of Tucson, AZ, two sons, Steven (Donna) of St. Peter, WI, Michael (Kathy) of Port Washington, WI, five grandchildren, Wendy (Erik) Johnson of Fond du Lac, Jessica, Allison, Nicholas, and Elizabeth Buck, a sister, Mildred (Roy) Ludvigsen, one brother, Hubert of North Carolina, and nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his brother Donnie Buck of New Bern, NC.
VISITATION: Tuesday, March 22, 2011 from 10:00 A.M. until 12 noon at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home, 524 N. Park Ave, Fond du Lac. FUNERAL: Tuesday, March 22, 2011 at 12 noon at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home with Deacon Larry Hughes officiating. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery. Trier-Puddy American Legion Post #75 will conduct military graveside honors
