Robert Edward Albrecht

Robert Edward Albrecht, 82, of Oakfield, died Sunday, May 13, 2018 at St. Francis Home in Fond du Lac. Robert was born on November 7, 1935, in Oakfield, the son of Walter and Hilda (Pinno) Albrecht. Robert left behind his beloved wife of sixty years. He married the love of his life Arlene Wegenke of Waupun on August 17, 1957. Following their marriage the couple resided in Oakfield on the family farm of three generations. Before having children, Robert served three years in the United States Army.



Robert enjoyed the farm life, from milking his dairy herd and working the land with his John Deere tractors. He was an avid Packer fan and watched all of the games along with the good old westerns.



Robert and Arlene had six children, Kurt (Sheri) of Fond du Lac, Darrin (Cindy) of Oakfield, Aaron (Heather) of Jackson, MI, Roxane (Ron) Buerger of Fond du Lac, Cheryl (Dave) Oechsner of Brownsville, Angela (Jeff) Brincka of Fond du Lac; fourteen grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Hilda Albrecht; and one sister, Ruth Stephany.



Visitation will take place on Thursday, May 17, 2018 from 5-8 PM at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home, 524 N. Park Ave, Fond du Lac, WI, 54935. A funeral service will be held on Friday, May 18, 2018 at 12:00 noon at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church, 245 S. Second St, Oakfield, WI, 53065. Visitation will also be held on Friday at the church from 11:00 AM until the time of services. Entombment will follow at Shrine of Rest Mausoleum, Ledgeview Memorial Park, Fond du Lac.
