Robert F. Venski, age 96, passed away on Sunday, January 21, 2018 just two and a half months after the passing of his wife of seventy-two years. He was born on September 26, 1925 to Irma (Muckerheide) and Florian Venski. He joined the United States Navy, the submarine division, and served in the Pacific arena during World War II. He met the love of his life, Vivian Whitcher on his last leave and they married just two and a half months after his discharge. He worked as a grocery store manager until his retirement. He was an avid member of the VFW and the COOTIES. He enjoyed golf, gardening, bowling, and camping.
Survivors include three daughters, Susan Venski of Mukwonago, Judy (David) Cole of Fond du Lac, and Mary Musack of Fond du Lac; ten grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren; one brother, Gerald “Bud” Venski; and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Vivian; one daughter, Rita (Richard) Scholzen; one son, Robert Venski Jr; three brothers; four sisters; two sisters-in-law; and four brothers-in-law.
Bob did many things in life; however his greatest success was with our mother as husband and wife, grandparents, and great-grandparents. They were best when they were together.
Per his request there will be a private celebration of his life and cremation has taken place. The family would like to thank Hospice Hope for caring for their parents.
