Robert G. "Bear Paws" Patt

Robert "Bear Paws" G. Patt, age 75, of Fond du Lac, died Sunday, September 18, 2011 at his home. He was born on July 22, 1936 in New London, the son of Carlton and Emma (Ames) Patt. He served in the United States Marine Corps during the Korean War. On October 24, 1959 he married Bernice A. Schaefer at St. Mary's Church in Fond du Lac. They celebrated their fiftieth anniversary in October of 2009. Bob worked for Soo Line Railroad as a brakeman/switchman for thirty-five years, retiring in 1990. He was an active volunteer in local sporting and fishing clubs. He was a member of Eagles Aerie #270 since 1986, a member of Trier-Puddy American Legion Post #75, a member of Lighthouse Anglers, and a member of Van Dyne Sportsman's Club. Bob enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time at the family cottage in northern Wisconsin.SURVIVORS: his wife Bernice of Fond du Lac, three children, Dennis (Jayne Miller) Patt of Sheboygan Falls, Deborah (Charles) Pfrang of Kohler, and David (Kim) Patt of Fond du Lac, four grandchildren, Chelsea, Kellie, Nicholas, and Samuel, two sisters in law, Dorothy (Lester) Rieder of Fond du Lac, Mary (Jim) Waite of Merrill, WI, and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.



VISITATION: Tuesday, September 20, 2011 from 4-7 P.M. at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home, 524 N. Park Ave, Fond du Lac. FUNERAL: Wednesday, September 21, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. at Chapel of the Risen Christ Mausoleum, Calvary Cemetery, 686 Fond du Lac Ave, Fond du Lac with Deacon Larry Hughes officiating. Visitation will take place on Wednesday at the mausoleum from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the service. Entombment will follow in the mausoleum.
