Robert G. Washnieski

Robert "Bob" Washnieski, 68 of W3415 County Road H, Pine River, passed away Monday, October 22, 2007 at All About Life Rehabilitation Center, Fond du Lac, after a short battle with lung cancer with his family at his side. Robert was born January 17, 1939 in Ashland, a son of Albert and Ann Kisley Washnieski. On July 4, 1959 he married Norita Weister in Ashland. Robert worked as a loader operator and truck driver for 33 years retiring in 1998. His hobbies after retirement were tinkering, hunting and fishing in northern Wisconsin. He was always willing to help others.He is survived by his wife Norita Washnieski, Pine River, two sons, Bob"Albert" Washnieski, Fond du Lac,and Rick (Pam) Washnieski, Fond du Lac. One special and loving granddaughter, Savannah Washnieski, who was the apple of her grandpa's eye. Robert is further survived by a sister Terri Hanson, Fond du Lac and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and dear friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, and a sister Patricia Thornburg.



VISITATION: Friends may call on Thursday, October 25, 2007 from 4 to 7:00 P.M. at the Uecker-Witt Funeral Home, Fond du Lac. FUNERAL: Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 25, 2007 at 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home with Reverend Edward Sippel officiating.
