Robert J. Wunder

Robert J. Wunder, 76, of Fond du Lac, died Sunday, July 28, 2013 at his home. He was born May 8, 1937 in Escanaba, MI, the son of Albert and Corrine LaValley Wunder. Robert was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force serving his country four years. On October 4, 1958 he married Beverly L. Miller in Escanaba, MI. He worked for Mercury Marine for 32 years, was a commercial fisherman, and worked in the pulp woods. Robert was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church and AA. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing cards and cribbage.He is survived by his wife, Beverly; three children, Robb Wunder of Oshkosh; Steven (Cheryl) Wunder of Fond du Lac, and Bekki Wunder-Munro of North Fond du Lac; five grandchildren, Tyler (Katie Beck) Hug of Fond du Lac, Kira (Travis) Grzybowski of Fond du Lac, Britini Munro of North Fond du Lac, Megan Wunder of Fond du Lac, and Zackari Munro of North Fond du Lac; one great grandson, Jaxson Hug. Robert is further survived by eight siblings, Jim (Carol) Wunder of Bark River, MI, Lee (Barb) Wunder of Eagle, ID, Harley (Dee) Wunder of Bark River, MI, Cliff (Jodie) Wunder of Tacoma, WA, John (Cindy) Wunder of Eagle, ID, Gert (Bob) Frost of Wasilla, AK, Snookie (Dave) Eichenhofer of Au Gres, MI, and Christine Hughes of Escanaba, MI; numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Milton Wunder.



The visitation will be held from 10AM "“ 12PM on Friday, August 2, 2013 at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held at 12 Noon on Friday, August 2, 2013 at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home with Rev. Michael Zuberbier officiating. Burial will follow in Ledgeview Memorial Park Cemetery.In lieu of flowers memorials can be directed to Agnesian Hospice in Robert's name.Uecker-Witt Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
