Robert L. "Bob" Johnson

Robert "Bob" L. Johnson, 86 of Fond du Lac died Thursday, August 9, 2012 at his residence. He was born on September 3, 1925 in Chicago, IL the son of Simon C. and Willa Smith Johnson.On April 16, 1949 he married Irene E. Lemke at Church of Our Saviour Lutheran, Fond du Lac. Irene preceded him in death on January 10, 1986. Bob was a veteran of World War II serving in the United States Army stationed in the Pacific Theatre from December 7, 1943 to April 16, 1946. He was employed with Mercury Marine as a machinist for 40 years retiring in December 1989. Bob enjoyed fishing, hunting, and was trained in taxidermy.SURVIVORS: Robert is survived by three sons; Michael (Julie) Johnson, Fond du Lac, Stephen (Patricia) Johnson, Fond du Lac, Matthew (Cathy) Johnson, North Fond du Lac, one step-daughter Judy (Gerald) Pierce, two step-sons Daniel (Jill) Perry, Malone and Thomas Perry, Fond du Lac, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, step-grandchildren,step-great-grandchildren and cousins.. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Irene, and his longtime partner/fiancé Marjorie M. Perry.



VISITATION: The family will receive friends on Wednesday, August 15, 2012 from 3:00 "“ 5:00 PM at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home.
