Robert L. "Bobby" Batterman, 64, of N4128 Hwy 175, Town of Byron, died Wednesday, August 6, 2008, at his residence. He was born January 11, 1944, in Fond du Lac, the son of Walter and Clara Behnke Batterman. On September 10, 1966, he married Louann M. Ewert at St. Mary's Church in Lomira. She preceded him in death on May 5, 2008. He lived and farmed in the Town of Byron his entire life, and was a member of Sons of Zebedee Parish, St. John's Church, Byron. Bobby enjoyed his farm, deer hunting, NASCAR, and spending time with his family. Surviving are two daughters, Michelle (Louis) Huhn of Fond du Lac, and Kim Batterman of Sheboygan; one son, Jason (Emily) Batterman of Fond du Lac, and a grandson, Owen Robert Batterman of Fond du Lac. He is further survived by two brothers-in-law, Tom (Carla) Ewert of Fond du Lac, and Jerry Ewert of Black River Falls. His parents and wife preceded him in death.
Visitation for Mr. Robert L. "Bobby" Batterman will be on Sunday, August 10, 2008 from 5 to 8 pm at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home, and on Monday, August 11th from 12:30 to 1:30 pm at Sons of Zebedee Parish, St. John's Church, Byron. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 1:30 pm on Monday at the church. The Rev. James Schaefer will officiate and burial will be in Bethel Cemetery, Town of Byron.
