Robert J. La Rock

Robert John La Rock, 62, of Mercer, passed away Wednesday, November 01, 2023, at Aspirus Wausau Hospital surrounded by his son and daughters. He was born June 28, 1961, in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan, the son of Robert and Judy La Rock. He loved fishing, hunting, and trapping animals. He loved doing body and paint work on many different types of vehicles. He also had a hand in logging in Upper Wisconsin and Upper Michigan. He was very proud of working in the deep tunnel project running heavy machinery and being a dynamite technician in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He was a great father and grandfather to his children and grandchildren.

He is survived by his mother, Judy La Rock; sister, Sue Shackelton (Steve); four brothers, Daniel, Clint (Amanda), Gary, and Kurt La Rock; his children, Robert LaRock (Rebecca), Tabatha La Rock, and Tiffany Smith (Doug); his grandchildren, Frank, Sophia, and Sky Mitchem, Natalie, Eva, Elly, Douglas, and Dallas Smith. He also has many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and many close friends. He was preceded in death by his father Robert F. La Rock.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 11, 2023, from 1:00 PM – 6:00 PM at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held at 3:30 PM at the funeral home. Following the service, the visitation will continue until 6:00 PM.
