Robert M. "Bob" Urban

Robert "Bob" M. Urban, 72, of N6533 Carrington Drive, Fond du Lac, died Monday, May 24, 2010 at St. Agnes Hospital. He was born September 15, 1937 in Campbellsport, the son of Albert and Esther VanZande Urban. He was a graduate of Campbellsport High School. He attended Milwaukee Area Technical College and also U.W. Madison. On September 15, 1957 he married Barbara A. Braeger at Church of Our Saviour Ev. Lutheran Church, Fond du Lac. Bob was a material handler for Giddings and Lewis for over 40 years until his retirement due to health concerns. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. Bob was a member of Immanuel Trinity Lutheran Church and attended Pembroke Church in Leesburg, FL. He was an avid golfer and Packer fan, loved fishing and boating, enjoyed nature, watching birds and animals, spending time with his furry companion, Toby, and cutting wood at his cabin on the Macan River, Neshkoro. He also enjoyed his winters in Wildwood, FL. SURVIVORS: his wife, Barbara, Fond du Lac; three siblings, Dick Urban, King, WI, Jane Cordie, New Berlin, WI, Terry (Mary) Urban, Campbellsport; brother-in-law, Richard (Patti) Braeger, Fond du Lac; nieces, nephews and his dog, Toby. He is further survived by special neighbors, Dave and Julie LaBorde and Mike and Kristi Zagar. He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Joanne Thill; one brother, James Urban.



VISITATION: will be from 4 "“ 7 PM on Thursday, May 27, 2010 at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held at 7 PM on Thursday, May 27, 2010 at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home with Rev. David Pavesic officiating. Entombment will take place Friday, May 28, 2010 at Shrine of Rest Mausoleum, Ledgeview Memorial Park.
