Robert N. "Bob" Cutter, 79, of Fond du Lac, went to be with the Lord Jesus after a short but courageous battle with cancer on February 22, 2006. He died with his loving family by his side. He was born March 23, 1926, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, the son of the late Stanley and Emma Petersen Cutter. He attended Bethlehem Lutheran Grade School and West Division High School in Milwaukee. He served in the United States Air Force during WW II. He married Lillian I. Hilt on August 26, 1949. He started what is now known as Cutter Vac on October 23, 1949. He was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church since 1971. He was also a long-standing member of the Evening Optimist Club. He enjoyed camping in his motor home with his family and friends.Survivors include his loving wife of 56 years, Lillian, six children, Arnette (Darrell) Wiskow, Lynette (Bill) Runge, Rob (Lisa) Cutter, and Ron (Laurie) Cutter, all of Fond du Lac, Yvette Cutter of Nashville, TN, and the Rev. Randal (Dawn) Cutter of Coral Springs, FL. 13 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, a sister, Darlene Matthews of Broadhead, WI, many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends also survive him. His parents and a brother, Arnold, preceded him in death.
Visitation for Mr. Robert N. "Bob" Cutter will be on Friday, February 24, 2006, from 4 to 8 pm at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home, and on Saturday, February 25, 2006, from 12:30 to 1:30 pm at Redeemer Lutheran Church. Funeral services will be on Saturday at 1:30 pm at the church. The Rev. Fred Toppe will officiate and entombment will be in the Garden of Valor, Ledgeview Memorial Park Cemetery. The family requests that memorials be directed to Redeemer Lutheran Church or Winnebago Lutheran Academy.
