ROBERT S. REINKERobert S. Reinke, 66, of 1110 Wisconsin Avenue, North Fond du Lac, died Monday, March 17, 2008 at his residence after a four year battle with Myelodysplasia/Leukemia. He was born the son of Milton C. and Mary T. Erdmann Reinke on February 6, 1942 in Racine, WI. He attended St. John's Lutheran grade school in Racine and two years at Horlick High School in Racine before moving to Eagle River. Bob graduated from Eagle River High School in 1960. On January 22, 1966 he married Judith C. Harrer in Port Washington, WI. In 1967 he graduated from UW Superior with a double major in Biology and Glacial Geology. Bob received his Masters Degree in Geology from Kansas State University and they moved to Fond du Lac in 1969. He taught Geology at UW Oshkosh until opening his own construction business in 1975. He was an active member of Pilgrim United Church of Christ, their choir, the House and Property Committee and was presently serving on the Adult Education Committee. Bob was a member of the Elks Club for 17 years, the FDL Ortorio Chorus for 15 years and the Sigma Tau Gamma Fraternity. He was the co-founder of Kindred Spirit Healing Hearts Adult Mission to the Pine Ridge Reservation in South Dakota. Bob loved fishing, traveling, music, photography and helping coach the Fond du Lac Flyers Swim Team in the 1980's. The last three years he has worked at the Fond du Lac Health Care Center for the Day Treatment Program running the workshop and has made many incredible friends there. He passed on his love of the earth and rocks to his grandchildren who have already started their own collections. SURVIVORS: his wife, Judith; one daughter, Robin (John) Lemke, North Fond du Lac; one son, Steven (special friend, Jennifer Janiak) Reinke, Fond du Lac; five grandchildren, Ian, Sarah, Jack and Samantha Lemke and McKayla Reinke. He is also survived by his mother, Mary Reinke, Eagle River; brother-in-law, Charlie Burnett; a niece, Holly Burnett-Halfman; and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, father and mother in law; a favorite uncle, Carl Halberstadt and a sister-in-law, Nancy Burnett.



VISITATION: will be from 3-6 PM on Friday, March 21, 2008 at Pilgrim United Church of Christ. The memorial service will be held at 6 PM on Friday at the church with Rev. Edmond T. Drewsen III officiating. Please feel free to wear bright colors in celebration of Bob's life. At his request his body has been donated to Milwaukee Medical College of Wisconsin.
