Robert V. Grube, 66, of 140 Blackbird Street, North Fond du Lac, died Saturday, June 2, 2007, at Clement J. Zablocki Veterans Medical Center in Milwaukee. He was born on August 6, 1940, in the Town of Fond du Lac, the son of Ervin C. and Doris Flitcroft Grube. He married Carol A. Lamb on June 9, 1962, at Presentation Church in North Fond du Lac where they still are active members. Bob served his country early during the Vietnam conflict. He was stationed at Fort Richardson in Anchorage, Alaska. Bob was a dedicated husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, who enjoyed spending time with his family. He also enjoyed hunting up north with his family and friends. He also loved golfing and camping. He was a member of the North Fond du Lac Rod & Gun Club and the Businessmen's Association. Bob enjoyed coaching baseball and football when his children were growing up. Bob enjoyed fixing cars, building, and woodworking. He retired in 1989, after 25 years of service with Mercury Marine.He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Carol A., his three children, Robert J. (Jeanne) Grube, North Fond du Lac, Scott M. Grube of Lac du Flambeau, and Kelly A. (Jeff) Boeder of Fond du Lac, seven grandchildren, Beth, Nick, and Amber Grube, Scott and Mikala Grube, and Alex and Madeline Boeder, one great-grandson, Nevins Zoch. He is further survived by a brother, Charles E. (Haydee) Grube of Poquoson, VA, a sister, Betty Jane Grube of Sheboygan, five sisters-in-law, Loretta Grube of Fond du Lac, Elaine (Del) Gieschen of Fond du Lac, Patty (Barry) Will of Ripon, Marian (Jesus) Hernandez of Hillsboro, NC, and Sharon (Terry) Schneider of Fond du Lac, and two brothers-in-law, Bob (Penny) Lamb and Tom (Jan) Lamb, both of Van Dyne. Also surviving are nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. His parents and a brother, Kenneth, preceded him in death.



Visitation for Mr. Robert V. Grube will be on Wednesday, June 6, 2007, from 4 to 8 pm at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. Funeral services will be on Thursday, June 7, 2007, at 10 am at the funeral home, and Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 am at Presentation Church in North Fond du Lac. The Rev. John Simon will officiate and entombment will be in the Chapel of the Risen Christ Mausoleum, Calvary Cemetery. A memorial has been established in Bob's name.
